How Usage Works
LawCite uses a usage-based billing model. Each paid subscription tier includes a dollar allocation that covers your scenario analyses. You can track your balance, purchase extra usage, and set up automatic top-ups from Settings > Usage.
Follow-up questions are free (up to 30 per hour) and never count against your usage balance.
Subscription Tiers
Recruit
FreeNew users receive a one-time usage allocation to try LawCite. Once it's used up, it does not refill and extra usage is not available on this tier.
Upgrade to a paid tier for a renewable allocation.
Sworn
$29/mo or $279/yrUsage allocation renews automatically each billing period. Extra usage and auto-reload available.
Decorated
$59/mo or $569/yrLarger usage allocation that renews each billing period. Extra usage and auto-reload available.

What You'll See
Extra Usage Purchases
If you run out of your allocation before your next renewal, paid tier subscribers can purchase extra usage.
Auto-Reload
Set a threshold and amount so your balance automatically tops up when it gets low. This prevents interruptions during active research.
Go to Settings > Usage
Enable Auto-Reload
Set a threshold (e.g., reload when balance drops below $2.00)
Set a reload amount (e.g., add $5.00 each time)
Auto-reload charges your card on file. Available on paid tiers only.
Monthly Spend Cap
You can set a monthly spend cap to limit how much you spend on extra usage in a given month. When you reach the cap, additional analyses are blocked even if you have balance remaining from auto-reload purchases.
This is useful for budgeting—it prevents runaway auto-reload charges.
Things to Know
Follow-ups are free
Follow-up questions on an existing analysis don't use any of your allocation. You get up to 30 follow-ups per hour.
Cancelled analyses still count
If you cancel an analysis after it starts processing, the usage is still deducted. Make sure your scenario is ready before submitting.
Allocation renews automatically
Paid tiers receive a fresh allocation each billing period. Unused allocation does not roll over.
